Violent Robbery Caught On Tape In Washington D.C After Female Employees Attempt To Fight Back

WASHINGTON – D.C. Police is hoping a piece of surveillance video may help them track down two violent robbers.

The attack happened the night of June 22 in the 1400 block of K Street in Northwest.

Two women were closing their sandwich shop when they were robbed. The women fought back and the gunman and his partner violently beat them.

The victims survived and the robbers took off. But police warn the attack could have turned deadly.

Twice in late June, store owners were shot and killed when they confronted armed robbers. The head of the Chamber of Commerce is advising retailers not to resist and to give the thieves what they want.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 40-50 years old, 6 feet in height and 200-230 lbs., wearing a white shirt (pulled off during struggle), and blue jean shorts.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 40-50 years old, approximately 5’10” in height, 215 lbs., wearing a dark hat, white shirt and black with white stripped jogging pants.

Vodpod videos no longer available.
